A Community Resources Guide, which includes information for Summer recreation programs and Fall Athletic Leagues, has been developed and mailed to participants. It is currently available online by clicking HERE.  Please see below for updates on programs and our upcoming registration:

Summer Program and Fall Athletic League Registration
Registration for limited Summer programs and Summer Camps, as well as Fall Athletic Leagues, is currently being accepted.

Until further notice, no in-person/walk-in registration will be accepted. Once registration opens, signing up for programs may be accomplished via the following methods:

Online Registration via WebTrac. Visit www.carrbororec.org to view more information on RecConnect Online Registration.
Mail-In Registration – Forms are available via www.carrbororec.org and in the Community Resources Guide.
Drop Box Registration – Mail-In registration forms and checks may also be dropped off outside of the main entrance of the Carrboro Century Center

Summer Camp Updates
All INDOOR summer camps scheduled during the month of July have been moved to outdoor locations to allow for better social distancing.

OUTDOOR summer camps, where social distancing measures are feasible, will be held as scheduled in July. Some outdoor camps may be cancelled.

Summer Camps scheduled August will be evaluated at a later date and an update will be provided.

Department staff will be providing updates to those who are currently registered for summer camps. Camps must still meet minimum registration requirements in order to be held.

Additional Program Cancellations
Since the Community Resources Guide was finalized for printing, several programs have been canceled.  Please check our RecConnect Online Registration page for current programs or call 919.918.7364 if you have any questions.

July 4th Celebration
The annual July 4th Celebration and related activities at Town Hall and Weaver Street Market have been cancelled. The department is offering alternative activities, including the annual Frederick Douglass Essay Reading, in place of the physical events. Please continue to follow Town of Carrboro social media channels and visit the July 4th event website (www.carrborojuly4th.com) more details.

Refunds
For classes and events that have been cancelled due to COVID-19, participants will receive a full credit on their accounts.  Participants electing to not participate prior to a program beginning will be given a full credit.  Participants electing to withdraw after a program begins will be given a pro-rated credit.  All administrative fees for Summer program refunds will be waived. Participants who prefer to have their registration fee balances refunded are asked to contact our Administrative Assistant via email at dsanders@townofcarrboro.org

Future Classes and Events
The Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department will continue to evaluate future classes and events. Adjustments, such as reduction of class sizes and/or changes to program delivery methods, including social distancing and other public health strategies, may need to be implemented to ensure the health and well-being of participants. We will continue to provide updates as they occur.

If you have questions about a specific class or event, please contact us at 919.918.7364.

Thank you.
