Winter-Spring Recreation Programs Update

The Carrboro Recreation, Parks, & Cultural Resources Department’s Winter/Spring program registration session is now open to all participants. The Winter/Spring session covers programs occurring between January and early May, as well as all Summer Camps.

In addition to the online registration option, patrons may complete a Mail-In Registration Form that can be found of Page 37 of the current brochure.

At this time, we are accepting registration for a number of outdoor programs, including our Spring Athletic Leagues, which we anticipate offering later this Spring.

Note: Virtual courses are presented primarily via Zoom. Some courses currently listed as in person may transition to remote/virtual if needed.

COVID-19 Updates and Modifications
Due to the ongoing public health situation, programs and events may be modified or canceled to ensure the safety of our participants, staff, volunteers, and the general public. Programs are also subject to stay-at-home orders, facility closures, instructor availability, and minimum registration numbers.

For programs that proceed, COVID protocols specific to each program will be put in place. These may include moving indoor activities outdoors (weather-permitting), changing facilities, reduced class/team sizes, limits to spectators, mask requirements, additional breaks and handwashing, etc. Specific protocols will be communicated directly to participants. Patrons with questions may contact the department at 919.918.7364 and ask to speak to the coordinator of the specific program or event.
