As part of participation in Bee City USA and in recognition of National Pollinator Week for 2017, the movie Hometown Habitat - Stories of Bringing Nature Home, was screened at the Century Center on Sunday, June 18th (3:00 pm). This 90-minute environmental, education documentary focuses on showing how and why native plants are critical to the survival and vitality of local ecosystems. This will be the third year for screening a movie as part of National Pollinator Week . The movies for 2015 (More than Honey) and 2016 (Queen of the Sun ) highlighted the plight of honey bees.
