The Town of Carrboro has awarded a $60,000 business loan through its Revolving Loan Fund to Tesoro, a pasta-focused neighborhood restaurant slated to open this spring at 100 E. Weaver St.
The application from David Peretin, a managing member of Tesoro, was reviewed and recommended for approval by the Economic Sustainability Commission pending appropriate collateral to guarantee the loan. The Town Council approved the recommendation on March 2.
The application describes Tesoro’s vision to create a welcoming gathering place for all members of the community providing comforting food and service in a charming, quaint setting.
