NOTICE -- By order of the North Carolina Supreme Court, filing for all offices for the 2022 primary is suspended. This includes the rescheduled municipal contests, and any separate filing period for those municipal contests in January.
The March 8, 2022 primary has been moved to May 17, 2022.

The Carrboro Town Council has called a special election to fill a vacancy on the Carrboro Town Council.
By order of the North Carolina Supreme Court, candidate filing has been suspended.
This vacancy came about when Damon Seils, who held a Council member seat with a term until December 2023, was elected as Mayor of Carrboro.
