At the April 5 Town Council meeting, Council Members resolved to designate April as "Native Plant Month" in Carrboro. The designation recognizes the benefits of native plants to our town's environment and economy. Residents are invited to celebrate Native Plant Month by planting more native plants in their yard and common spaces. Each seedling does its part to help feed birds, bees and butterflies and to create a more resilient ecosystem.
