Update from Orange Water and Sewer Authority
Work for the East Main Street Sewer Rehabilitation Project is scheduled to restart at 7 a.m. Saturday, April 23, and continue until 9 p.m. Saturday, April 23.
The work on April 23 will consist of paving along East Main Street between Lloyd Street and Rosemary Street. One lane will remain open in each direction for this stretch of paving work. Additionally, there will be temporary lane closures on Greensboro Street at the intersections with Weaver Street, East Main Street, and Roberson Street.
Beginning Monday, April 25, paving work will take place along the entire project corridor nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. This nightly work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. Saturday, April 30.
The project is in the restoration phase after installing the new sewer line through the project area.
Please keep in mind that while this work is going on, the local businesses will be open along East Main Street. Sidewalk and parking lot access is expected to be open throughout the project. Thank you for your patience while this critical infrastructure investment is completed!
