The public is invited to meet the designers for the 203 Project, a public center planned for 203 S. Greensboro St.
The building will house the Orange County Southern Branch Library; Town of Carrboro Recreation, Parks and Cultural Resources Department; the Orange County Skills Development Center; Virtual Justice Center; WCOM Radio; Teen Center and more. The site is currently a town parking lot across from Open Eye Cafe.
The Carrboro Town Council approved on Tuesday, Nov. 17, the schematic design and authorized the $25.8 million project to proceed with the next steps of the development process including permitting. The design reflects community input previously received in the project’s early phase in 2018 while framing new and updated synergies of the building users.
